Members’ Muck-In Sessions

We hold regular Member’s Muck-in Sessions when members can come along to give a hand with many conservation and maintenance tasks. They are from 9.30 to 12.30 on Saturdays.

The scheduled Muck-Ins are:

AGM and Rewilding Talk 28th October 2025

The High Batts AGM is to be held on Tuesday 28th October 2025 at 7.15pm at Allhallowgate Church in Ripon.

At the AGM, the Trustees report to the membership and receive any feedback, and the Board of Trustees is elected for the coming year. At least 10% of the membership is needed to make the meeting valid.

After the formal business of the AGM there will be a talk by Chris Tomson entitled ‘Rewilding – What’s It All About?’

Chris has spent 26 years as a farm conservation advisor, working for the RSPB and latterly as an independent advisor. His talk will cover well-known and less well-known rewilding projects, including some in Yorkshire.

East Dales Ringing Group regularly undertake ringing surveys at High Batts usually at the weekends.

At certain sessions members are welcome to watch and get close to the birds that are ringed, and EDRG will be happy to talk about their activities.
