Reserve closure

Member’s access is limited to the area up to the Riverside Hide. Beyond there, the ride is blocked by a fallen willow. Volunteers and a professional forester will attempt to clear it on Thursday 9th July 2026.

After recent flooding, High Batts has fully reopened from Sunday 5th January 2025. As snow melts there is the possibility of further flooding over the next few days, so members are asked to please exercise caution and leave the Reserve

High Batts is closed from 1st January 2025 until further notice due to flooding. We’ll update the website when it reopens.

On 2nd February 2024, the Reserve had dried out enough after recent floods for all the rides to be open again.

The south end of the Reserve has flooded, and High Batts is therefore closed until further notice. We’ll post again here on the website when it reopens.
